How did you two meet?
We have known each other since we were 14 and were best friends throughout high school. We are both from New Zealand, and took separate paths after school with Josh heading off to the UK for 8 years and Stephanie spent various periods of time in the USA and Canada, firstly doing a Summer Camp in Zoar Valley, then a few ski seasons in Winter Park, Colorado; and Whistler. Stephanie sent Josh a post card from Buffalo, NY in August 2006 which he treasures. Throughout our time spent in different parts of the world we always kept in close contact and were able to catch up a couple of times when we both happened to be back home at the same time.
Josh was living back in New Zealand when Stephanie came home for the summer holidays in December 2017 (Stephanie is a teacher and living in Central Queensland, Australia) and this time the timing was right for both of us and finally our relationship was able to develop into what had always potentially been there for all those years. Josh made the decision to move to Australia to be with Stephanie after just 3 weeks together and made the move in April. Josh proposed to Stephanie on July 6th, on a hike in a beautiful location called Kings Canyon, near Ayers Rock in the middle of Australia.
